I quite like it, but it's not big for guys here in Ireland so I don't really play. When we were playing in P.E I slammed the ball into one of the "bully's" face and was just like shit, shit, time to go lmao

I've tried, but they aren't very pretty. :P My coach can do it really well, and she's tried to teach me, but I'm not very good at it haha. A girl who used to play with us can do it, it's so cool.
Do you find it easier to play with a 5-1 rotation or a 6-2? Or some other variation?

i personally find 6-2 easier and more effective

..You both make me feel like a loner in volleyball because I don't know all these things.
But I LOVE volleyball, I play on my school team every year. I've never played on a team outside of school as much as I want to. I'm pretty good at setting it. My coach deemed me as "power server" this year because I made a girl cry during try outs because it scared her from how hard the serve was. :P

I do as well. We were running a 6-2 at the beginning of the season, but one of our setters got injured, and was out for the rest of the season. We ended up having to run a 5-1, and we all noticed how much more we like 6-2.

Yea, only my travel team runs 6-2, my school team runs a 5-1 because we only have 3 setters, and were a team of like 22 i think this year, but tryouts for this year aren't over yet so I'm not sure about the size of the team yet, and there's 60 kids (7th and 8th graders) trying out so if we find some new setters we might start running a 6-2

22?! That's huge! My team is 9, and my sophomore year during the outbreak of Swine Flu, I was the only one in school one day. That practice was extremely helpful, got to work one on one. :P I can't imagine being on a team with 21 other people.
Sometimes 9 seems like too many, a couple of girls who don't get as much playing time are always upset because other people stay in the whole time. Although no one gets upset when I stay in...partially because I'm pretty much the only tall person, and we hate back row. :D
I like running a 6-2 A LOT more, I wish we could have done it through the whole season. I get really frustrated when the setter wasn't able to get to the ball and it was near me. If the setter doesn't request help, we aren't allowed to touch the second ball. If we do, even if we get it up or anything, it's 20 laps the next day at practice. It's hell.

I see that volleyball is more of a girls sport. My sister played volleyball in high school. I asked was there a boys team, they said no.

Did it for the first time in PE today, I was shit and hated it; it's not a typical British sport. Hope that's good input

Well we one our first game today for my school team, i had 5 digs and a 11 serve streak , all of them were amazing floaters, but every time i was on the bench since we have a 22 person team this kid Tommy always put me down by saying "Evan your gay and u suck balls" even though I'm not then he says stuff like " Evan if u were the coolest kid in the world you would still be a loser and hated by everyone" and there was a empty Gatorade bottle and he said " Evan how far did u shove this up your ass last night?" and i felt like total shit the whole game even though i did amazing. then when i got home i still felt like crap and stuffed my face like a complete pig...
im gonna go rant about it...
