Ok so I wanna ask out this guy. Idk if hes straight or not. A lot of people say he's not just by the way he acts, but I know that some people act a different way, but that doesn't mean that they are not straight. not being able to know and not being able to ask him makes me really upset. I just really want to be with him, but I can't. :'(

Break the ice, try to talk to him, get to know him. Try and hangout with him. Once you feel your are comfortable and you want to ask the question, ask. Don't believe what other say, those are rumors and atleast 85% of rumors are fake or not true.

Get to know him, talk, hang out, just like you would with anyone else.

If it ever turns out he's stright, don't get too hung up on it. You can't change him, and it's not fair to yourself. Try to move on if he's straight. :)

Well I just graduated 8th grade with him, I've known him for 9 years...

Well like I said when you feel is the right moment, just ask him if he has ever had any bfs/gfs. He may tell you.

If you get to a point where you think it is the perfect time for you to ask him then do it. You need to make sure that you feel comfortable with yourself first before you do anything.
