(Reuters) - The United States warned China it would redeploy forces in Asia if Beijing failed to rein in North Korea, an Obama administration official said on Friday, as Pyongyang bowed to Seoul's demands for crisis talks.

President Barack Obama's warning had persuaded China -- the North's main diplomatic and economic backer -- to take a harder line toward Pyongyang, and opened the door to a resumption of inter-Korean talks, possibly next month, the official said, confirming a report in The New York Times.

North Korea accepted the South's conditions for talks on Thursday, marking a major breakthrough in the crisis on the peninsula. Such dialogue could clear the way for the resumption of the six-party aid-for-disarmament talks.

We should just liberate North Korea and make it a US territory already. Then eventually make the territory an official US state.

We shouldn't be testing China at all. I'm not a fan of this.

Who's the world going to hate once the North Korean government is eventually dissolved, they're the only black and white organised hostile force left in the world.

I'm probably going to get alot of hate for this, but the OP is wrong. The U.S. is a corrupt country that has caused devastation worldwide. What the media says is not what really happens. Corporations control what we want to hear and see. Communism isn't wrong at all and its policies are flawless. Capitalism is a load of bullshit and most of us are living pre-fabricated lives. I'm sure you're all aware about these riots that occur worldwide. Those riots contain people that are angry and tired of being lied to. The U.S. has thousands of military bases around the world and, as such, they control the world. No one ever talks about the Palestinians and how they're being massacred by the IDF. It's essentially ethnic cleansing, genocide. The Golan Heights are another major problem. I firmly believe that in a few years' time, the world will plunge into civil war. I do hope anyone who reads this really should stop listening to the media and rely on logic and reasoning. The media being news channels, newspapers, military officials, etc. North Korea is a powerful country, so is China, Iran and Cuba. Iran is a wonderful place, rich in culture, heritage, history and it is one of the most economically stable countries in the world. I would know, I'm half Iranian. I'm also half Italian which is a shame since I currently live in a severely corrupt and brainwashed country. (Italy). China is wealthy and poor, like most countries, but it is fair and righteous. Cuba is in a state of shit because Fidel Castro is quite sick. North Korea does what it thinks is right. And no other country has the right to intervene with North Korea. If any of you want to, PM me about this. I could share my knowledge and all.

lolwut?

Anyone who says any economic system is "flawless" has an opinion that can safely be ignored. Every economic system has flaws. Communism has more than most, actually - something you'd know with any even cursory study of economic history - but whether or not you agree with that statement it is absurd to argue it has no flaws.

We should just liberate North Korea and make it a US territory already. Then eventually make the territory an official US state.

That's an absolutely terrible idea, as it would result in immediate war with China.

More generally, I think China will begin to move towards a less permissive stance with North Korea. The country's increasingly aggressive moves and China's continued backing are significantly impinging on China's efforts to become the recognized leader in the region. Supporting them is becoming less worth it for China; fighting more with America is frankly not what either country needs right now and I think the Chinese leadership are beginning to wonder if North Korea is worth it.

I disagree with OP, it's not our job to fuck around with the Koreas. The only reason we're there is because of the defense treaty we have with South Korea. Isolationism is the best strategy, unless the actions of a nation present a threat to the United States.

Communism isn't wrong at all and its policies are flawless. Capitalism is a load of bullshit and most of us are living pre-fabricated lives.

That may be the most incorrect statement I've ever seen. Communism is impossible to achieve. Don't make me pull out the quotes.

China has already said that they will not support North Korea in a war.

Iran is a very nice country. It's just they're not fans of Israel (Read: They're not anti-semitic. They're accepting of other religions) and America, probably, and this is just me assuming, because we support Israel, which we shouldn't.

Yes, because we all know how much good that would do.

^ here's what i think would happen if we took over North Korea,
Japan would feel threatened by the US even if were not going to take over their land, but they're still skeptical, then japan might start to build up its forces thinking the US is going to take over their land (over a long period of time) therefore the US and surrounding countries of japan might also feel threatened. Then if a political event is held about the situation if the US and japan start to argue heavily, nations might take sides, then all it needs from there just one wrong move or statement could lead to WWIII, then again if everything works out in the political event then it would be avoided.
Just a theory haha

Did you know that most of non-muslim Iranians fled from Iran during the turmoil. And most of Iranian Jews fled to Israel.

Man, the way my father describes Iran before the uproar - you will think Fuck Europe, I want to stay in Iran. But those shitty religious fuckers are now ruling it - ruining every thing good and valuable in Iran.

I hope America liberates Iran from those deluded leaders the same way U.S liberated Iraq from a Tyrant.

From what I've read, seen, and been told, Iran isn't some overly zealous country like Saudi Arabia. But I guess that's the West for you. Fabricating lies.

I know that you have grown some in interest in Iran. But unfortunately, what you have heard is true. Iran is indeed some overly zealous country like Saudi Arabia, and even worse.

[email protected] - I don't believe in that shit.

But anyway, back on topic: the US has every right to feel threatened and I probably would to. All this talk about China overtaking the U.S very slowly economically and potentially via military as their economy increases they can afford to supplement their larger army with similar technology of the U.S.

Although this may all blow over as develped country's find new country's to do business contracting other developing nations to mass produce their shit. I would predict that eventually the majority of production for Canada and the U.S to be through Mexico from their trading bloc NAFTA although all four countries are in the APEC trading bloc. Throughout the 90's and early 00's it was predicted that Japan would surpass the U.S economy so this whole thing could just eventually blow over.

Lol @ OP. Anyways:

The U.S. is a corrupt country that has caused devastation worldwide. What the media says is not what really happens. Corporations control what we want to hear and see. Communism isn't wrong at all and its policies are flawless. Capitalism is a load of bullshit and most of us are living pre-fabricated lives.

Sigh. Communism seems good in theory but is impossible to achieve. And it is most definitely not flawless.

Iran is a very nice country. It's just they're not fans of Israel (Read: They're not anti-semitic. They're accepting of other religions) and America, probably, and this is just me assuming, because we support Israel, which we shouldn't.

Iran is a joke. I laugh at them whenever they're in the news. Like when Ahmedinejad expressed his views on homosexuals in Iran (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_3RUwAJ_MI). He almost sounds adorable. It is a fucked up country, and is in no way 'accepting of other religions'.

I hope America liberates Iran from those deluded leaders the same way U.S liberated Iraq from a Tyrant.

Let's hope they do it right this time, though, not killing a damn good handful of innocents while they're at it. I wouldn't give America the task of 'liberating' Iran. Not in a million years.

Yeah, their president is a dumbass, but I wasn't necessarily referring to that.

This is what I'm basing Iran off of from my AP World History class. We had to view two different countries (I cropped it out) and name them. This one is Iran, whereas the other was Saudi Arabia.
