Yesterday, I was involved in a terrible snowmobile crash. I pulled my groin muscle and my leg is severely brusied to the point where I can barely walk. I had a friend riding on the back. We were about 30 miles away from home and I was completely in an area I wasn't suppose to be in. My parents yelled at me so much, I'm grounded for like a half a year. Last week. I Met the girl of my dreams, we kissed and held hands. This saturday I had plans to hang out with her and ask her out, she lives like 15 minutes away and I don't get to see her that often. I talked to my parents about it and they strictly said no. I couldn't even negotiate with them. I explained to them what I felt about her and what I'm going to do but it didn't help? What can I do to convince my mother to let me be with her saturday? Please help. Thanks, High.

I usually go about 2-3 months without seeing another kid my age.. Its not that bad not to see her for 2-3 weeks. You'll be fine, and right now are being unreasonable. You deserve to be grounded honestly.

I'm sure you'll live. Your parents choose their parenting style. What you do now will determine the success of that style... You could try negotiating abbout what you want or you could apologise to your parents for being epic wreckless... :P

You should realize that you broke a rule that your parents set...one that you were aware of. I think that your parents don't know if they could trust you not to do something stupid again, like get into a crash. If you feel like you truly need to see her, you need to show to your parents that you can be trusted again.

You should suck it up and learn from your mistakes. You should have known better than to go snowmobiling out where your parents told you not to go, and now your being punished for it. It's common sense, and unless you sneak out, you'll just have to tell her your grounded and can't hang out.
