This is really bad for me...
One of the TA's have reported me for self harm because one of my "friends" grassed me up right in front of her and me...
So today I had to talk to one of the uni people that come in coz I refuse to talk to a teacher or conucellor and she told me she used to do it and we shared stories but I'm scared there gonna tell my dad or other teachers I have a big audition and interview for college and it cant be put on my record or I can F*** college... :S
Anyone have any adivce???
PS. 1 week today since my last cut!

My school found out recently too, I was sent to the school nurse it wasn't actually as bad as I expected :/ they won't tell other teachers unless it's necessary, for me they didn't mention the self harm and just said I was stressed. However they may well have to tell your dad it's the law that they report things affecting your physical and mental well being and cutting certainly does that it's also so that basically your dad can't sue if something happened to you and he found out they knew.
For college and stuff the likelihood is it won't be mentioned I too asked this question I was told it would be on my school file purely so that if anything happened in the future they had all the facts and the file can only be seen my necessary members of staff, they also said that it wouldnt be mentioned to any external organizations at all.
If you have any other questions feel free to message me by VM or my msn/email is on my profile.
Also congrats on not cutting for a week!!

They will tell your dad if you live in the UK, it's the law.
But you don't have to forget about college. No one needs to know, it's not on your file. You have to give permission for someone to see your medical records, and even then, they're not allowed to discrimate against you because of your self harm.
I'm really sorry about this though, I remember when my school found out about my self harm, and that wasn't a pleseant experience. Just think though, now you'll be able to get the help and support you need, and you can get better.

Well when my college found out, oh BTW they didnt kick me out, they didn't have to tell my parents unless I was in danger, so if you stress you really dont want your parents to know they will listen. Unless it's really bad.
I'm afraid its gonna go on your record, but it does not matter. They cant refuse to let you into college because you self harm, thats illegal. This wont affect your chances of getting into college at all so try not to worry about it.
If your parents do get told, I can garuntee you they will be ok with it. Unfortunatly my parents found ot about my self harm on the way to the hospital thanks to a suicide attempt. They had no clue how I had been living for the pats 2 years andI thought I was gonna have to live in a home, never see my family again, loose my job, the whole chebang.
But you know what, they were really understanding, work still dont know and NEVER WILL but everything is working out ok for me, and it will for you too.

Maybe you should look on this as a good thing. It's out in the open now, you'll get the help you need, even if it didn't happen in the most pleasant way.

It won't go on your acedemic record, because it's a health condition, and universites and colleges can't discriminate you because of health conditions.

Well, they probably won't tell your parents, because you're 16. But I can't be sure.
