30 seconds ago I had a green bar, now I have a red bar?

What are the bars for? It was green a second ago, now it's all of a sudden red? Is this normal?

u get that when u get bad reputation
if someone disagrees with an answer u have posted then u get red
and u get green for good reputation

i used to have 2 but i got an infraction so now im back down to one
try emailing an admin to see why this happened
maybe they can tell you

Somebody has given you negative reputation because they didnt like something you posted. If you goto User CP you will be able to see which post got the -rep and what comment/reason was given. If you really think its unfair you can appeal to an admin but there is no guarantee that they will overturn it.

Because you are a new user it only takes one -rep (from almost any established user) to turn your overall rep block from green to red. However, unless you tot up a huge number of -rep points it would also only take one +rep from the right user to put you back in the green again.

Dont let it worry you to much, try to post helpful answers and the +rep will come.

i've been neg-repped lots of times.
if it bothers you, turn it off with:
User CP > Edit Options > Show Your Reputation Level > [Uncheck the box]

that's what i did.
to tell you the truth, i don't think any pos-rep will ever come. only DreamerX has been nice.

you can.
disabling rep only hides the bar colour(and maybe also the number). you can still give out rep.

EDIT: who compared me to a pin in a rude neg rep? that's attacking.
