View Full Version : Hearing voices or just my imagination?

I think I may be hearing voices in my head. Every so often, clear as my own inner voice reading this, my friends or a random voice will say something. Sometimes it doesn't make sense. It's out of nowhere. A woman just screamed gibberish near my left ear (but in my head... Hard to explain) almost as I was was lying in bed with my eyes closed. No matter how many times I remember it, the memory is not as loud as when it happened. Seriously, make a noise. Clap or something. Then remember the sound. Not as loud or perfect, right? That's what it's like. I've never thought much of this. It's always when I'm just trying to doze off and I'm not busy. This one scared me. But it's still not often. Is this bad or my imagination?

I can't tell that happens to me but with visions and I get really delusional but I play video games to take my mind off of it maybe that will work for you

I believe the key in your post is "trying to doze off". By this, I assume you mean "almost asleep", in which case what you are experiencing is pretty normal. Auditory/visual hallucinations (as that's probably what you're experiencing) are normal and almost to be expected as one falls asleep.

Immer it is not our imagination, some times when we go to sleep some thoughts run in our mind and they are so load that we think that someone is there with us and telling something in our ear. so don't feel bad when you find this happening next time, you can also play some light music when you are going to sleep.

This happens to me a lot, it's not normal I don't think. My suggestion talk to your psycologist about it. PM me I'm here for you!
