Smoking During Puberty

Hi There, i am 16, and i am at stage 3 in puberty, and i have been smoking for around 6 months, and was wondering, does smoking have an effect on puberty?

hey, i am in the same predicament you are in. im 16 almost 17 and i've been smoking for sometime. the only facts/fictions that i've heard about smoking during puberty is that it may stunt your growth, and that your penis doesn't reach full erecetion (as in blood to the penis) when you smoke. this may not be true, but it's what i've head. i love smoking.

Well it can slow down the effects of puberty because it can slow down your production rate of hormones. Oh, and also it's a stupid fucking idea cos of all of the other things it can cause, fatique lung cancer so just dont do it mate.

my ass it stunts your growth, Ive been smoking smokes and weed since i was 11, im 14 now(I know you must think im some drug addict) but i'm not, and i'm not any idiot either. anyways, i was probably average size when i started smoking, 3 years later, and almost taller than ever kid is my grade, so thats bullshit

EDIT: Well maybe I haven't smoke weed as long as I have tobacco, but it has been about 2 1/3 years

I got a good laugh out of that... anyways, guys, I know it sounds kinda stupid asking if smoking will slow down puberty and not carying about everything bad smokes does (including slowing down puberty)... but it was HIS decition on smoking, and he's only asking a simple yes or no question that could have just answered by a yes or no...

all of the worlds oldest people are smokers, cept for 1 or 2 mabye. the only thing smoking really does is make your voice deeper, i dont think it can stunt your groth too much, it didnt for me..

all you people who say its bad, have you tried? its like a legal semi high feeling, i like it. i only smoke at the most 2 a day, not 1-2 packs like some people, how the hell can they afford that?!? lol anyway..

yeah ive not long ago done this thing in school telling us about the dangers of smoking and stuff. if you smoke you could end up with a hole in your throat and you need to clean ( i think) it out and you can only really talk by covering up the hole so if you want a hole in your throat so be my geust smoke all you want

I've smoked since age 12 (I know, I know) and I can honestly tell you that it sin't a good idea. It hasn't sucked with my puberty (so far) but it has damaged my health considerably and drained my bank account.

But I'm not going to be all patronising. It's your choice if you want to smoke and in my opinion, despite how much I regret starting, nobody has the right to tell you not to.

I'm 13, it did something to my voice (which is breaking) when i did smoke. But yea, that's it.

Any addiction is physical and psychological.. Some smokers won't have much problems except for their taste glands dieing, skin gets old faster and minor stuff but some will get cancer and other happy things
