I've made comments about quite some pictures here recently, so it fair that others get the opportunity to bash my work :).

Suggestions or comments for this anime-ish fantasy bowman?

His head seems a little skewed at an angle and flatter than the rest of the body. It's also a bit too large.

He's way too happy. Your avatar's face would've worked better.

Shading / textures are really clean and carefully done.

Ok its fantasy, but that arrow is WAY to chunky (but that might be a pet peeve of mine).

I like the face fine but its possibly not modelled enough. Possibly with some background to give more clues about lighting it might not be so much of an issue.

I've seen a lot worse in print, and am seriously impressed (I could never do that!).

Love the shading and rendering! It looks really cleanly drawn! (If that makes any sense?)

Definitely!

Too happy? mmm... Let's see if I can make that guy look more concerned by his job.

Agreed.

Yeah. The issue is that it is very hard to add more complex shading on the face because of the actual drawing size. Given the scale, adding even thin lines tend to render a "wrinkled" effect instead, so I only added very light underlining of the shapes. I'll see what I can do to improve this, though.

Possibly with some background to give more clues about lighting it might not be so much of an issue.
The reason why there still no background is that I plan to later use that sketch to make a computer wallpaper out of it, and it is technically easier to scan the character on a white background. Now, once I'm done digitalizing its final version, I'll definitely add some environment to it.

I attempted to correct the errors you noticed - below is the result. Is it better now? Anything else I should attempt to change?

Oh, and thanks for the kind comments as well!

Yeah thats incredible. A testament to your skill that you could change it to order like that. He's pretty hot now lol.

Well, I liked the first one really, but the second one is much better anyways! Especially the head.
Now it's like.. You get more stuck in the picture, and it's more interesting! (:
