It should be under warranty.

i dont think it would be covered because it wasent caused by faulty equipment it was caused by the owner (no offence!)

thats like taking a bat to it and expecting it to be covered

(again....no offence)

yeah burn ins arent covered by warranty cause technically its my fault
i guess i didn't realize h ow easy it is to get a burn in,
and burn ins are perminant errr
the tv was $2000 :(
lcd's are nice but you can get a bigger plasma for your money, (i dont even think lcd's come in 42 inchs, atleast where i got the plasma tv)
luckily it isn't a horrible burn in though it could have been alot worse,

oh well....

the DLP is the best out there now IMO...LCD is good but not great, plasma burns into the screen as you saw...DLP is just great

we got a 56" wide screen HD a month ago..great setup
