Ive been having alot of issues with BO lately.... Im a bigger built guy and I work alot, wich equals sweat and body odor. It usually doesnt take me much to break a sweat and my bo has been really strong scent to it, specailly in the last few months. I was using spray deodorant because it used to work. Then it all stopped working. SOme of my shirts now even have bo stained in em  Anyone else have this issue?

You need to use antiperspirant and deodorant, it'll keep your pits from producing sweat and odor, the spray simply smells good

Yeah, try some body wash with your shower dude, and, if you don't already, get some of those scrubby shower sponges to scrub your smellier parts...it's just excessive hormones man..but bacteria is what makes you smell, at least that's what our health class taught us...

I've only ever had a BO problem when I changed my deoderant, I didn't realise it was a body spray. From then on I've stuck solely to 24hr anti persperants. They really work, and now I make sure I clean inder my arms really well when I'm in the shower.

If you something like Axe it wont rid the stench, just mask it. Try Gillette.

Shave the hair of where it smells. Like your pits. The hair just makes it smell worse. It works for me buddy.:) Never had the stains though. My shirts are colored.

Hello, PAfarmerkid, look at your pits, now back at mine, now back at your pit, now back at mine. Sadly, they arn't mine, but if you stopped using ladies scented body wash and switched to Old Spice, they could smell like their mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re on a tractor with the pits your pits could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an egg with two tickets to that thing you love. Look again, the tickets are now bacon. Anything is possible when your pits smells like Old Spice and not BO. I’m on VT Forums.
In short, anti-persperant + Body spray is what ya need :)

I want to make few points before i help you:
1) Strong Body Odor isn't rare, and many people feel really uncomfortable about themselves because of it. Remember that it's completely OK, and that it's treatable.
2)Deodorants, and especially the spray, are extremely bad for your health. The spray deodorant blocks your sweat, and it causes problems. Think that your body is a baloon, which contains water, and has little holes in it, so the excess water can escape. When you use deodorant, you block those holes... NOT GOOD.
Ways to solve it:
- Try to take shower regulary, few times a day if it's a hot one or if you have sweated alot that day (don't wash your hair too often though).
-Try to use different products which don't block the sweat,
but eliminates the bacteria => no odor.
-You can ask your family doctor for more advice, or for a specific product recommendation.
Remember that it's natural and nothing to be ashamed of!
Hope i helpes :)

This is an excellent suggestion. We did this in biology. The bacteria that make the smell live on the hairs. Give them less places to live, less smell.
Also i'd ask a pharmasist for anything like this. They can recommend something and explain it all to you.

Antiperspirant AND deodorant, antiperspirant blocks the sweat pores and the deodorant blocks the smell. Obviously wash it regularly, fresh sweat doesn't smell.

Not to that extent but I sweat a lot too... use stick deoderant and use a type that has anti-perspirant in it. I use either Old Spice or Degree, and both are really good. I used to wear Axe but it didn't do anything and a lot of girls actually hate the way it smells.

Hope these help. First when I eat foods that have a stronger odor, I smell it in my skin - like onions, garlic and greasy fried foods, etc. Second, if I go to steam room at the gym, then afterwards first take a hot shower then turn the water to cold, my skin seems very clean. My last suggestion is to dry off completely after a shower, don't get dressed with wet skin. Sometimes, I use a hair dryer to dry everything off including pits and groin area.

That is not true. The body has tons of surface area to sweat out of if it needs; reducing the activity of sweat glands in the armpits (which is what anti-perspirant does, it doesn't actually "block" any sweat glands) will have no health consequences.
Anyways, I feel for you PAFarmerKid, I get excessive armpit sweat and it's a pain in the ass. Deodorant won't help with pit stains or anything like that because it doesn't stop the sweat, just makes the area smell nice. So what you need is an antiperspirant. There are varying strengths, so try them out starting with normal stuff; if that doesn't work you can get clinical strength antiperspirants that probably will. I use one called Perspirex.
That said, if you're working a lot in your clothes... I wouldn't wear white. Antiperspirant or not if you're working hard you will stain white shirts.

I think you should use a good guys body wash, Gillett, Old spice, or Dial anti bacteria soap, make sure your pits are dry and when a good deodorant too. I like Right Guard Total Defense 5 Antiperspirant & Deodorant, it works well for me. I dont like Axes body sparys... IDK i just dont like them.
