Hey guys, I need some advice.

I have a friend who has been diagnosed with bipolar, he needs help badly but hes too stubborn to addmit it, I think deep down he kinda knows but...

He cuts himself away, he sits on the wrong side of the bridge above the train tracks, he has lost all his friends, he says hes a nobody. His reason for not talking to a therapist or taking meds is because he wants to live a normal life, and he says normal people dont talk about things or take meds everyday.

The thing is he doesnt live a normal life at the moment because he suffers from all of the affects of bipolar.

How can I convince him to get help, I'm really concerned about him and I try and help him and sometimes I think he opens up a bit, but when he realizes what hes saying he closes up again.

Please please PLEASE help me to help him guy, Thankyou

Tell him that it is normal to need help every so often, and that if you aren't messed up in some way, you aren't normal.

Tell him what you told us. He isn't living a normal life by living with the effects of Bipolar Disorder. He has to realize it will be a normal life minus the effects coming on so strongly.

Believe me I've tried but he just wont see sense :( maybe I'll show him this thread, maybe he will see how much I care about him and how he should accept the help he needs.

Thankyou so much, the pair of you
