How long should you be going out with another person before making a run at first base?
Does it depend on whether or not you're both friends?
Do you find kissing too early in a relationship to be repulsive?
Would you be lenient on boyfriends/girlfriends with no "experience"?

Well, i would say a weekish.
Just my opinion.

I kissed my girlfriend ( normally ) before we started going out and then about 2 weeks later we tried toungue kissing

Nope... Just regular peck-on-the-lips kissing. You see; I'm not very "experienced" when it comes to this act.

A peck on the lips is nothing, thats something I'd see myself doing on the first date. Actual tongue kissing though, that should probably wait until like a weekish to two weeks.

I wonder why there's such a weirdness about doing this with friends. I kiss all of my female adult friends when meeting them...

The is no "right time". And i find kind of rude telling a boy in your situation things like "a peck kiss is nothing" See, because of that "its nothing" thinking is that many of our already decaying societies are losing the few actually "worth" teenagers they had.

A kiss is as special as you want it to be. It can be a peck kiss or a french kiss. The kind doesnt matter. What really matters is that you and your couple enjoy it and feel it "special". If you think it is meaningless, then it WILL be meaningless. However if you love her, and she loves you, and the ambient is right. (You can be cuddling or just saying nice things about each other, maybe even playing, or perhaps some romantic music in the background) Whatever the moment is, and whatever the kind of kiss is, it will be special.

Quit thinking about the right amount of time, just get the right moment, no matter when that is. People are nor machines, we have feelings, and if you are gonna leave that aside and make a kiss, even if its a small one, meaningless, then you are better off just getting some mercenary sex, or getting her drunk.

Think of it,

Regards,

Josh.

First off, just me I guess, but I hate all this stupid "first base" stuff. Its life, its a relationship, its not a fucking game of baseball.

Now you cant conduct a relationship as if its painting by numbers. Oh, its been a week, we can kiss now, a month, she can put her hand on my trousers, etc.. It just doesnt work like that.

You have to judge for yourself how things are going and when the time is right to make the next move. Sometimes you will get it right, he or she is ready and hoping for it, and other times you will get it wrong. But its the same for everyone, and that's how we learn and its how relationships move on.

I seem to think that, in a relationship, I should do what makes me feel comfortable and, if she is the right one, she'll be comfortable too.

Whenever it feels right... my girlfriend right now lives in New York and I live in PA so I really couldn't say from experience but just do what feels natural.

First night. Be spontaneous. Live dangerously. You're only young once.

In my opinion, just hang back and chillax, it'll all come naturally. That's what happened with me, I didn't have anything planned out, stuff just seemed to happen based on it's own idea of time. It'll all be alright, just don't worry about anything. :D
