the only ways for me to change my IP address is, my internet router has 4 ethernet plugs. each different slot i plug my computer into gives me a new IP address.
some computers may change IP addresses without your knowledge.

Control Panel(classic), Network Connections, right click your connection, Properties, select Internet Protocol and hit properties, select use the following for ip and dns, for the next part open a command prompt by going to start, run, type command, then in the command prompt type ipconfig/all, look for ip address, enter it in the ip properties window, but change the last number(s), find Subnet Mask, enter that exactly as you see it if it didnt automatically fill it in when you clicked it, find Default Gateway, enter that exactly as is, find DNS Servers, enter 2 of them in the dns boxes exactly as they are and hit ok. In order to change it again simply change the last section in ip address. This is a static ip address, it will never change unless you do so manually.

LOL were you being a dick and got yourself banned from some forums?

Well if you want to change it just unplug your modem and leave it unplugged over night.

It's much faster to set up a static ip address.

Your question can be answered many ways depending on if you want to change internal or external IP and how your network is set up. If you have the internet running straight from the modem to the computer then you have to put a new network card in so the modem sees a different MAC address. If you have a router you might be able to clone the MAC address of your computers network card and that may work. If you have a smoothwall then just change the RED and GREEN network cards with each other.

Click the first link, and do what it says.. I once did it, and it worked wonders... you might loose connection for a couple of secs and stuff, but it was pretty fast...

No shit, MAC address is a physical address on your network card.
