So, tomorrow I'm getting my braces off and I'm making an impression for a retainer. Does any of it hurt?? :/

I got mine off a few days ago. It wasnt too bad getting them taken off, just a good tug on your teeth. Its when they start grinding the glue they use off, that wasnt very painful. But it might just have been my orthodontist. I will also warn you that your gums will probably be swolen like mine for a few days. I couldnt eat anything with sauce like ketchup or sphagetti from it stinging when it got into my gums.

I got mine off over the summer, and it wasn't too painful. When the glue was scraped off of my teeth it was a bit uncomfortable. When the brackets were pulled off was a little painful, but it was over in a second. I just kept reminding myself that I was going to have a beautiful smile and the pain was worth it.

So, yeah, I'd really describe it as more of an uncomfortable feeling that pain.

Wow. There wasn't any pain for me. I sat in a chair, they checked to make sure my braces were A-OK for prying, and they were halfway done before I knew what they were doing. Once I was aware of it, it felt funny, but didn't hurt at all.

Just some tugging on your teeth. You'll live.

(Actually, I only had four braces on my top front four teeth, so it might've been less dramatic for me.)

They scraped yours off, must have been nice. They used their little air power drill air grinder thing with that little bit

It kind of hurts when they pull the things of your teeth but it is definatly worth it.

The most painful thing for me was the few days after you have them taken off.

Nothing hurt me when they took mine off, but I do have a bit higher pain tollarence than normal.

However, when they scrape the glue off your teeth it will feel uncomfortable, but other than that you will be fine.

When they took mine off the only thing that hurt was grinding the cement off, but mostly because I have sensitive teeth

If I remember correctly, it isn't that bad. Just relax and let the orthodontist do what he has to do.

Oh, and ACTUALLY WEAR THE RETAINER!!! That is VERY important. I didn't wear mine, and my teeth are almost back to what they used to be. Not fun, especially after how expensive they were. =-/

The process of getting them off doesn't hurt, but your whole goddamn mouth will hurt like a bitch for a few days afterward. Keep ibuprofen/acetaminophen (Tylenol) on hand.
