Does any one else scratch their skin hard enough to leave a mark but not hard enough to draw blood.

Only when I can't find something to cut with, but if you're asking if that is still self harm, it is.

I know it's self harm i just want to know i'm not the only one that doesn't draw blood but still gets relief.

The same as other people said, when I can't find anything to cut with but get desperate i'll do it.
Two things bring releif for me in self harm, blood and pain. SO scratching brings a mild form of pain so a bit of releif.

Well then I'm sure you are, as I said when I can't cut I scratch and I do get some sort of relief from it even if it's not exactly what I'd like to do :/

Yeah, that's what I did for a couple years. Be careful though. Even if it doesn't bleed at first, if you pull off the scabs, it will. Just a warning. D:

Yep I mostly do. Usually when I can't use anything that could actually cut me with. But it brings relief, so it's good in a way.

I did that before I started cutting. I would dig my nails into my skin and rake them. Then I moved onto scratching with needles and paperclips and...so on. It's a bad started habit! You should stop while you're ahead =/

Yeah, this is all I do... I have no urge to try actual cutting or anything because I just feel this way I can do more without causing any damage like scars. Kind of selfish I suppose though in a twisted kind of way.

I completely understand what your saying. Whenever I get extremely stressed out, I legit scatch until I can't scratch anymore. I have never ever used a knife, I have no desire too. It's almost as if the scratching is enough.

I would use to. But its hard to do it vigorously, without blood coming out.

That's exactly what I did at first, scratch but not to the point of bleeding. Sometimes I scratched hard enough wishing for blood. But now I've started to use sharper things and make myself bleed. Please, don't do it.
