View Full Version : Same Gender Sex?

Both my boyfriend and I are virgins, still.
I was wondering, for penetrative sex if condoms should still be used?
The area would be cleaned thoroughly and I'd make sure he did the same.
Since we're both virgins, does that mean that we should use condoms? None of us have any genetic STDs.

I would strongly still recommend to use a condom.

Could you explain why, please?

you have to be careful, to make sure, you should both be tested for any STI's etc just to make sure.

Even if you dont have an STD now or have never had one. You should ALWAYS use condoms just to be safe because virgins can STILL get STDs. Basically It's common sense to use condoms and it's for your own safety

there's no such thing as a genetic std? I assume you meant preexisting, since you can get some outside of sexual contact.

I'd go with yes. You should anyway.

For the reasons everyone else said.

you don't need condoms.

As long as both of you are clean (aka STD-free), there's no need for condoms.

You'll always need lube, be sure to have more than enough (the big plus of not using condoms is that you could use something like Boy Butter, which is an oil-based lube).

Oh dear god. USE A CONDOM NO MATTER WHAT!

The only reason a person would not use a condom is to have a child. There is no point in 2 male partners not using protection as it dramtically increases your chance of getting STIs/STDs/AIDS and men cant bear children so whats the point of ejaculating into them?

More pleasure?

As to the genetic STD question further up, I meant like how people can be born with HIV.

Also, to make sure, I would make us both take an STD test and we would be clean and use lubrication.

How exactly can STDs be or become present in 2 virgins who have not/will not have another sexual partner?

It strikes me that many of the above answers are verging on the hysterical.

If neither of you currently has an STI you cant possibly give it to the other person through anal sex. The fact that you are both virgins means its less likely that you have STIs although some can be inherited and there are other means of infection like shared needles for example. If you are sure that you are both clean then you cant get an STI from having sex. However there are other sorts of infections you could pick up so there are still risks.

Wearing a condom will definitely reduce the sensations for the guy that's topping, and, sorry if this offends anyone's sensibilities, the guy bottoming would most likely enjoy the top's orgasm more without the condom.

So weigh up for yourselves the pros and cons. You might pick up a UTI, unless one of you is a junkie you're unlikely to get HIV.

This.

As Nick has said, as long as neither of you has an STI (the chances of this being very low if you're both virgins) or UTI or any other kind of infection, you won't pass anything on and there's no risk in not using condoms. An STI doesn't really just magically appear out of nowhere.

Would be worth being on the safe side and having some basic STI tests done before you both have sex though. Better safe than sorry, eh.

Just remember that you can get certain diseases (such as AIDS) via needle use from an improper needle, in case either one of you shoot up or anything like that. Also, how long have you known your boyfriend? If you haven't known him for long, he might be lying. As much as people would hate to admit it, people with STDs would probably not tell most people, because it would make the other person unwilling to have sex, even if they are fully protected. If you've known him for a relatively long time and trust him, I'd say go ahead without a condom.

Make sure you have tons of lubricant though. I can't really go in depth about it on this site, but it will probably hurt at first, so it's better the more assistance you have. Take it slow. Don't be freaked out if you get a pain at first, it's normal/natural.
