So our swimming unit starts in gym next week. I had gotten out of it but I really love to swim and I also knew more people would ask why I wasn't swimming and I would be really embarrassed.
Half my class is Muslim and is wearing long sleeves so it's okay for me to in order to hide my scars... But I really don't want to in the pool.
Any ideas?

If you keep your arms in the water as much as possible? People wont notice when your actually swimming.
Are you allowed a towel for when you're standing around?

I had swimming yesterday. T.T
Scars don't really show underwater, unless people are using goggles.
But if you can wear a shirt, I would. It seems the easiest option.
Good lucks. (:

Say you're on your period. It won't work every week but it can work more than the 1 in 4 cause when I was younger my periods where really irregular and apparently that's pretty normal. Or you could use it for one week and hope it gives your arm some time to heal a bit, so that you can just put waterproof make up over scars.

I made a decision. I'm going to just wear a bathing suit. None of the scars on my legs are too bad and I'll just keep my arm underwater. But I'm going to walk in there in my bathing suit confident and just happy to swim. :D

That's good! And if you don't mind the scars, others probably won't notice them as much.
And if someone ask, you can eighter tell the truth or just ignore it.

Ah there you go. If they notice, just pass them off as scratches .

Depending on how bad your scar's are, you might get away with leaving your arm's uncovered.
I wear long sleeves in the pool, but now everybody know's I harm so I dont bother lol.
Good Luck!

I wear rash shirts and board shorts to cover as much as possible.

I put my bathing suit on last night and felt confident. :)

Well done, if you're happy about it people are so much less likely to question it.
Good luck :)

Well... I was. I now have to wear shorts. I just made a mess of my thigh. Shorts barely cover it.
