ive been depressed sience i was 9 and i havent told my family till early this year and i told the councler i tried to kill myself and she made me go to the psychiatric ward........but my mom and my g-ma sat with me until the ambulince came to pick me up and they didnt even tell me that they love me or any thing like that and when i got home they didnt hide the pills (cuz i tried to overdose) and i cut myself and my mom saw and just said stop doin that shit and i have nightmare that make it so i feel like dont get any sleep
and i tell my g-ma and she just says i hope u dont have to go back to the hosptal....i think they dont care but i want ur opoitions (sp) on why they are acting like this..

I recently took an OD and my family reacted in a similar manner. I think it's just that they got a hell of a fright and are scared and worried about you. Suicide and suicide attempts are very difficult to deal with as the family and friends are never quite sure as to why. They may feel inadequate thinking that they weren't enough to make you feel like you want or wanted to live.
