The lyrics remind me of seventh grade angsty poetry. Isn't anything special to me.

It's over played and over rated. But it's about suicide, and it's "never to late" to get help i suppose.

this song is a mainstream radio song, not too much meaning to it. Its pretty generic

I love this song, it has pretty deep sentimental meaning between me and a close friend.

The video gives you a lot of hints...

It's set in a psychiatric hospital, and if you look at it it looks at one point like the girl gets molested. Like it shows him touch her on the shoulder and also black hand prints on everything... and it's his hands that have the black paint on it. And she gets flashbacks of him holding her down. Also her parents have plasters over their eyes, showing they don't notice.
I think she goes to heaven or something at the end.
So it's all about suicide, and how hopeless he is in helping someone like that.
