I can't identify...my nipples usually feel about like dead meat.
I think guys may still have some glands there like girls. There are times when my girlfriend's boobs hurt and her nipples are sensitive. However, if it keeps up ask a doctor.

yeah depends how big it is usually its just a cyst, and probably only hurts because yu're poking it.. can I ask how big the lump is?

Do you know if it's fat or just a lump?
It could be a common disease called gynecomastia.
I suggest you google it - but, fortunately, the disease isn't harmful.

Of course, this is answered in the announcement "Puberty FAQ and Information - THIS MIGHT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION! (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/announcement.php?f=18&a=60)"
I have found little lumps that sometimes hurt when I touch/try to move them under/around my nipples. What are they?
These are called nodules and these are common, they're just fat deposits that will go away after a few months/years. It's nothing serious and nothing to worry about.

I had that sometimes when I was 14, don't know what it was, but it'll go away, nothing to worry about... Lol, I asked the same question when it happened too, :p

cancer?
You disgust me.
And yeah I got that when I was younger, it was weird - and I got worried about it, but I'm sure it's fine, mine has gone now. It kind of felt like the end of a bone or something. If your worried I'd go check it out, just grit and bare it, it might be worth it. But the likelihood it's anything to worry about is very small :)

Yeah. I had that problem at the beginning of puberty. My mom freaked and took me to the doctor, and the doctor told me that it should go away within a few months or years and that it's natural. Hope this helps!:)

Haha the same thing happened to me my mom freaked out took me to the doctors and they told me it would go away in a few years or months. She did say some times it stays after you get through puberty and surgery is an option.
