Hey VT!
Do you listen to some special kind of music when you're playing some game? (what game?) :)

I listen to video game soundtracks while playing video games. Why? Because it's awesome listening to Silent Hill music by Akira Yamaoka while playing Bioshock.

I listen to the game's music of course.
Sometimes it's beautiful and sometimes it's ear splittingly horrible.

To some Retro games, I play Power Metal... what?! Sounds good when playing Ultima and the like. It gives you that fantasy sense, you know.

Almost always the games music because it can give really good atmosphere. Sometimes if its really repetitive (even if its good, but i've been playing the came a loooong time) i'll play something else.

Depends on the game. My WoW music is usually whatever is new in my iTunes library, but I do break out the New Age stuff from time to time. Steampunk and Industrial are common too.
But nothing beats the actual soundtrack. Blizzard in general is great for that. Diablo I would only be half of what it was without it's soundtrack o.O

Whoever does not listen to Rush while gaming is seriously fucked in the head. Especially stuff like "Natural Science".

I do not listen to Rush whilst gaming, sir. I do not believe I am fucked in the head.
I usually don't, but when I do, it's whatever I'm feelin'.

As of recent, I'm looking at remixes of video game soundtracks. I'll only listen to them if they're better than the original, otherwise I stick to the soundtrack. Or maybe whatever song is stuck in my head at the moment.

Depends. I listen to the most random stuff at times. Sometimes when I'm playing Black Ops or Halo 3 (cause Reach sucked), I'll listen to Bullet For My Valentine. Other times I'll listen to Pink Floyd, Rush, Porcupine Tree, Nirvana, Fall Out Boy, Rise Against. Really anything. Preferably fast, but sometimes, just calm and nice.

It kinda depends. If I'm listening to some other music, it's going to be Three Days Grace and Muse. But normally while I'm gaming I'm either directing and leading people which requires voice chat, so I just have WoW's built-in music on quietly in the background.

I have a special thing for power metal in mmo's, but really anything sorta fast paced will do.
In fps i listen to the beautiful sound of my victims footsteps :P except for far cry 2 - the sound in that game sucks, but say for quake it's lovely. I feel it's a waste to listen to music over that.

I must be the only person who thinks Working Man goes well with Black Ops.

I own both soundtrack albums for Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I really like the early jazz orientated music. Generally guitar hero: warriors of rock I already own the tracks and oblivion also has a nice soundtrack.

Depends on the game. If its something with amazing music, no. If so, yes. Examples being...
Ratchet and clank - music
Bioshock - not music.

Generally whatever the soundtrack for the game is. Unless its terrible, then if it gives me the option I'll play my own music. Which is just all the music on my PS3 set to shuffle.
