All his so called friends, companions.
They blossomed like flowers

They eventually withered and died.
Maybe it would take 60, 70, 80 years
To him, it felt like no time at all.

Those who followed him, got hurt, he knew that.
So he discouraged
Claimed he preferred to be alone.

He was the doctor.
He was the ancient immortal, forever burning at the heart of the universe.
He could do anything.

Yet he was so alone, so very very alone. It was unbearable.

He's the lonely god, wandering from shore to shore.
Never stopping, never staying.
Fearing what will happen if he does, how many lives will get torn apart, how many people will lose their way.

906 years old.

Full of fire, and ice, and rage.
Yet still, so very alone.
All his might, with no one to share it with.

Well let me put it this way

A. She's not, that was series 3 in 2007
B. He's 906 years old. And all this stuff happens in little over 4 years time. All the rest of the time, he's alone. His mates, their human, so they will die eventually. And then he's alone, cos he lives forever. And to him, their life span, is nothing. And no one else shares his responsibility, he's the last of his kind.
