I don't bother. All you do is get good at push ups as far as I can see. Same with just doing arm curls. I do a lot of other sports though.

I don't do push-ups. I work out every morning Mon. through Thurs. before school and I bench, skullcrushers, bicep curls, pull downs, strait leg dead lift, squat, front squat, calf raisers, leg curl, leg extention, military press, chest flys, etc. Hardcore dedication to weight lifting. but I do sit ups at the end of every workout and i do oblique crunches, bycicle crunches, leg raises (for lower abs), regular crunches, row crunches, and this special ab exercise I think you should all try.
What you do is you balance yourself on your butt and cross your legs so your legs and upper body is off the ground. Then you take one hand, make a fist, and put it in your other hand as to make one fist kind of. Then in your sitting position and your hands together you go back and forth swinging your hands to your left side of your body touching the ground then to the right touching the ground. go back and fourth touching the ground with your hands closed up together, while balancing in your V-shaped kind of position. Make sure you trunk twist your body while doing it so you target your side abs as well as your core. This exercise is meant to exhaust your abs. You do this until you can do it anymore then you go strait into regular crunches, doing as many as you can before you cant do anymore, then you go into leg raises, and do those till you can't anymore, then you do bicycle crunches till you can't anymore. This is my ultimate ab workout. You do three sets of this. You can barely stand up after you are done but it's worth it for those 8-pack abs i have. When you get really good at this ab workout you can put a weight in your hands. I use a 25 lb weight in my hands when i swing my hands back and forth.
