View Full Version : Frightening mood swings.

I'm feeling a bit better since the other night... not nearly in as much pain and my arm is feeling. But I'm disoriented with my mood.

I keep having panic attacks and I don't feel well. Mopey and sad, I guess. Sometimes I'm numb. Sometimes I'm happy and want to smile. They're just little flashes for a few minutes or less. They're not severe though. I barely notice it's happening until I started paying attention.

I'm confused and a little unnerved. I know I have mood swings but not this quickly.

EDIT: I've been on Prozac for a week and a bit... could it be messing with my mood like that?

Just try and focus and think of any other reasons why you are acting like this? Anything happened lately that provoked these?

If not, just try and relax and always think about positive stuff and hopefully get away from the mood swings.

Well, Friday night I attempted suicide. But I doubt that's the full reason...

PRozac might have something to do with it, a doctor would be able to tell you more. If you're attempting suicide while on this medication, I'd be really concerned. I recommend talking to your doctor, but in the meantime, just try to weather the bad moods. Deep breathing and relaxation can get you through the little bad moods, and for the longer bad spells it might help to talk to a friend. Some days you just need to crawl in bed and wait for the turn to end. Music helps me especially. Good luck, and I hope things get better for you.
