I have a rather simple question for all of you. What exactly is happiness? What do you feel when you are happy? I have been depressed for nearly six years and it seems like I no longer feel anything... Kinda like severe apathy I guess. Should I seek medical attention?

If you've been depressed for that long then yes, you should.

I'm bipolar so my sense of happiness is amplified. I feel on top of the world, I feel so beautiful. Emotions are difficult to describe.. my heart beats faster and I feel content with everything, like everything's going to be okay.
I'm not good with words so I'm sorry if this doesn't help.

I guess I have no idea how it really feels like... I doubt I ever will.

I don't believe in happiness. The only people I've talked to who are truly happy have never seen bad days so there's no comparison. But there can't be happiness without sadness.
All my happiness is fake. The mania from my bipolar disorder, the caffeine after five cups of coffee, concert adrenaline. It's the closest I've been, but it's not real.
