Hey!
So.. do you like 3D? Why? Why not?
I'm not sure if maybe there is a thread like this already, but I couldn't find it.

No, i dont like it.
though the effect is cool sometimes, it hurts my eyes and head after a while.
and having glasses on the whole time can get annoying.
id much rather just chill out with a normal film and popcorn. (:

Not really.
I prefer the really corny type 3d though. because you can take the glasses off and it's OK, and the effects are so cartoonish they don't have the "holy fuck something's attacking me" responce

Its OK in theaters, but a movie in 3D would not make me want to see it any more than it would in 2D.
And there is no way in hell I'm spending more than 3k on a TV then $300 for glasses, just to see it.

Its still a novelty for me cause I've only seen a few 3d films. I won't be buying a 3DTV though, that would ruin the fun of it for me.

Did 4D once at disney land, was brilliant.....I think that will be the next wave of things for cinemas to do now that you can have home 3D now.

I'm not sure if I like 3D that much.
I saw a 3D movie about 5 years ago and the effects weren't that exciting.
And having every movie these days be 3D doesn't make me excited to see one.

Well, me myself kinda like 3D. When at like a cinema. But not often, that would just destroy the thing with 3D. And well, yeah it's fucking irritating like the first five minutes, but then it's getting nice.
I'd never get a 3D tv though.

I voted for dont really care. I enjoyed watching The Voyage of The Dawn Treader in 3D, they didnt overdo it with silly effects. The adverts for football (soccer) on 3D TV look really terrible.

I love 3D but it has to go well with the film for example TRON Legacy which had very subtle 3D it wasn't things flying out at you it was just there if you know what i mean...

I like it.
Its fun. :P
4D just scares me. Seriously. Seen one in Disneyland Paris a few years back and I left cause it was just.. idk. Weird and freaky. :L
Plus there was a snake trying to eat me. -.-

Wikipedia:
4-D film (sometimes written 4D film) is a marketing term that describes an entertainment presentation system combining a 3-D film with physical effects in the theatre, which occur in synchronization with the film. Because the physical effects are expensive to set up, 4-D films are usually presented only at special venues such as theme parks and amusement parks.

I despise 3D movies with a passion. Not because it hurts my head or something, but I think it's stupid and mediocre. If I want it to pop out at me and be 3D, I'm going to LARP. I want to watch a flat movie, which is more than enough to satisfy me.

I've always preferred regular 2D movies. I'm not a fan of.. the movie popping up. But lately it makes my head hurt. I get major headaches during a 3D movie.

Fuck 3D sideways with the sharpest of rakes. I have monocular vision, and as such can't see shit if I'm trying to watch a 3D movie. I'm hopeful they'll continue to release 2D versions along with 3D or I'm fucked.

Agreed! It just went on and on with a plot that could've been written by an 8 year old.

3D is just a gimmick so shitty movies can get big crowds. It's pointless and I get a much better experience from HD.

Avatar was cool at the movies, but i have looked at like sports at cosco and it looked real fake through the glasses they had...and my vision was messed up for like an hour. No thanks...HD tv is good enough....at least until they have holographs....
