Question on Languages

Is it against the rules to use a language other than english? I dont mean in just a few words, but an entire thread?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but i would like to know before raising a thread in my diary. :)

I raised a thread about this (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=72819) back in May 2010. It might be worth quoting Ant's reply at that time...

This has never really been a problem before but if someone is posting in another language they will definitely be asked to post in English or do a post a translation

If you post something in English, everyone would answer it.
If you post something in German, very few would answer it.
If you post something in Nordic, nobody would answer it.

It depends on you wanting to get answers to your questions / replies to your thread or not.

so you could do something like that
its just if your seeking replies go for english

If it's in your diary, I don't see it being a problem whatever language it is.

Diary, more or less OK - i'd suggest giving a translation if asked though.

General forums, I'm pretty sure it's a 'please don't, no one can understand you'
