PS3 vs. XBOX360

ok well i dotn know hat to get.
The good thing about the PS3 is gonna have cooler games and its free to play online.
The good thing about the 360 is that its cheaper and has halo.
The bad thing about the PS3 is that it costs alot and doesnt have Halo lol(i love halo)
The bad thing about the 360 is that u have to pay to play online(50 dollars a year) and its not gonna have that many games.
If u had $700 dollars and ur cheap(liek me) and ur parents said they would help u by giving u 200 dollars to buy it. wat would U get?

PS3 is gonna be better that XBOX, sony aren't stupid enough to release the PS3 a year later than the XBOX and let it be worse than the XBOX, sony have had a year to make it better than the XBOX so the PS3 will be better.

The ps3 can't even change the resolution of the images to fit a different screen, if you play a 1080i game on a 480i screen, it won't display. Same goes for playing ps2 and ps1 games on a hi-def screen. I would say get a Wii and Xbox360, 2 systems for the price of 1.

Also, look at the numbers below, Sony will lose third-party support if they don't sell enough consoles.

I'd personally not get any of the consoles. I find its a waste of money, but if i had to choose i'd get the PS3, cooler games, i know Halo isnt on it. But you will have to live without it. Thats my opinion. Although the 360 is cheaper, it also overheats after i believe 8 hours of play.

i would just wait for 2-3 years for the price to drop like the gamecube, i bought it for 89 dollars :)

If you don't have the money, or if you don't have the extremely high-definition (1080p), then don't bother thinking of the PS3. The truth of it is, all the next gen consoles have about the same graphical appearance. The exception lies in the resolution, however, this is where Sony falls. If you do not have a 1080p high-definition TV, then the 1080p that the PS3 outputs will have to be degraded into either 720(p/i) or 480(p/i) or even lesser. Since you won't be seeing what the PS3 is sending - you'll see what the TV interprets and recompiles the PS3's output to be - you might see slightly worse appearance from the PS3 than the XBox 360. Though truth to tell, the Wii games can look just as good or even better than some games on the XBox 360. Oh... but Gears of War is freakin sweet - Unreal Engine 3 owns.

Anyway, the point is, with Wii's overall innovation, it can still keep with the graphical appearance of some (if not most) XBox 360 games and still be incredibly more fulfilling (because of the intuitive Wii-mote). The XBox 360 can, in some instances, look better than the PS3 - otherwise, it looks just as good. The PS3 has better hardware than the Wii or the XBox 360, however, unless you have the 1080p high-definition TV, you cannot really utilize the full power of the PS3.

but when the xbox came out i got one
and have never looked back

I need to get a new TV I can get a HD CTR TV cheep
but for now i'm going into dorms soon
so ima probly just use a computer monitor that i can double as...well a computer monitor..
I can get a cheep HD 720 from Dell

My brother inlaws getting a Wii for christmas
dudes mental about nintendo
so me n my sis went everywhere lookin for one

But I dont want one
nor will I ever own a PS3
I have a PSP and love it
but for the most part i only use it for music
so i'm just gonna get an iPod
