Personaly, besides the fact I would have sexual intercourse with this car, I`d like to know any negative inputs to it overall. As a preformance car, that is.

I know they`ve equiped it with wider exhaust, and it has its nice turbo pressure, and optimized intakes, but does it really hit 6400rpm?
Also, why a v6, and not a v8?
Ovbiously, both depend on proper cylinder size and its effect on mechanical efficiency and balance, but I`m still cloudy as to why people prefer v6`s over v8`s and vise versa, depending on the circumstance.

Theres honestly no real negatives for this car, or if there is i just cant think of any right now.

For the V6/V8 question the skyline has almost always used a V6, except for the very very very early days, and they compete with the porsche 911 turbo which uses a turbo flat 6, so i don't think they want to be the one to guzzle gas, so it could also be just for image.
