So I was talking to my friend on the phone and, I'm bi by the way, and I started yelling at her cause she is not all religious but she believes that gay people go to hell and I was like, then I'll see you right there with me!, and she started crying. I mean she completly supports me. I feel really bad that I yelled at her but she was all cool with it up to them. Anyone have friends like this?

The bible doesn't even say that in the first place. Any "form" homosexuality it linked to the nitrogen bases of a nucleotide being mput together abnormally.
So gayness is just like why some people have speaking implements and other stuff.

You sir, did the right thing. She hurt your feelings, and hurt hers.
Win win.

i dont know if that theory has been backed by science...
also, an eye for an eye does not solve anything. I suggest that you appologize and ask for forgiveness since you hurt her feelings. Hopefully, she will forgive you.

Im christian, but a lot of the stuff in the bible I dont agree with. I dont think gays will go to hell, because if they have christ in their hearts and lead a pure life, then nothing is wrong with them and they will go to heaven, no matter what their sexuality is. Besides, he made them that way, he meant for gays to be gay...so he wont send them to hell for it.

And I agree if she was acting like an ass that way, just act like an ass right back. At least that's what I do. If someone wants to insult me, Ill give it right back to them. She had no right to act like that, so once she does - you get the right. You dont have to apologize to her unless you want to. But she should, she started all that mess, and if she does - you should as well. But dont feel like you have to.

I believe homosexuality is a sin just as other sins, ex: lying, and is no more severe. If you believe that the Lord is the messiah and savior, and ask forgiveness for your sins, you will have everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

this is not meant to be an offesnive comment to anyone, but here:

in The Tenakh (spelling?)(Ie, the Hebrew Bible) Homosexuality is not a sin....it is not frowned upon, nor is it banned. I dont think we (jewish people) even have "sins" the way Christianity distorts them.....anyway
i think its interesting to see how some of you people get SO religious when talking here...."keep christ in your heart" "please god and ask forgiveness" "kingdom of heaven"

sheesh....

but anyway....make sure she knows you offended her, thats what id say

Corruption and basing all your beliefs by religion is very disappointing... anyway Christianity will never accept science e.g. the will never as a whole accept evolution the Darwin way, its seems that we will always be seen as a oddity or a weird or as evil in some ones eyes because we where born different than the majority, just because some guy who wrote the bible 300 years after Jesus died doesn't mean its true also the bible has been know to have been changed and distorted over the years... this is properly why I have no respect for conservative Christians for they can't just accept people for who they are they are, like very annoying argumentative old people... I frankly had enough of people saying im wrong, im bad, there is something wrong with me im a sin, when I live like this because I have no choice I don't choose it im not controlled by daemons or by Satan I just know how to love a different way that you I love I feel I care like any normal person

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ME

if this is what this supposed heaven is going to be full of i don't want a part of it i would rather have internal damnation and live a internality with a bunch of clones and repress my feelings it would be my hell

because no one really wants to damn-nate your bowels, or make you live there
i think you mean "eternal" and "eternity"

See, we don't know who wrote the Bible, and since the Lord works in mysterious ways, I believe that gayness isn't a sin.
Why? You're born gay, it's not a choice. God won't hate you because you're different ;)

So be what you were born to be

Im deeply sorry you feel that way. I will pray for you. And i have a quick question (not trying to spark an arguement), but you said Christianity and science could never both work, but then how do u feel about Christian Scientology/Scientists?

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. (Romans 1:24-27)

Scientology- a religion based on the intergalactic lord Xenu trapping alien souls on earth written by a Science fiction writer.
Of course there can be Christian scientists but some (not all) will put religion into science creating a mix which doesn't work (im sorry no offence meant).
I don't want you to pray for me sorry no offence I don't need it.

edit: im going to leave it here im not going to reply again on this topic because its going to turn into a arguement and frankly you are allowed your opinion as 'what_the? said bellow but its so depressing all those people out there who hate me and are telling me im going to hell and im a sinner without even knowing how i live and how i feel.

I think that many people have misconceptions about the Churches views towards homosexuality. For example, the Anglican Communion has mixed and completely contradictory views, varying from church to church, from churches who don't accept LGBT members, to churches who are quite happy to ordain openly LGBT, partnered, non-celibate bishops.

I don't think it's fair to say that all Christians believe one thing, all Jews think another, all Muslims think something else, and so on and so forth. People believe what they believe and that isn't always dictated by their religion. Lord's servant dude believes what he believes. He's entitled to his opinion, whether you share that opinion, is obviously up to you. Please don't start getting all, 'this is fact because I said so'. Yes, by all means, state your beliefs, but don't tell other people that what they believe is wrong, unless you can back it up with facts, not opinions.

Personally, I believe that if there is such a place as 'hell', that we're all going anyway. Regardless of who's gay, we should be worrying about all the people that lie, cheat, kill, and so on. If God is who I think they are, I doubt they give a flying fuck about who we love anyway...

Sorry if I offended anyone, but that's your problem, I've got a right to believe what ever I like, just the same as the next person.

its people like you that make me wonder if people can actually be THAT religious, or if some people just wanna piss off others by talking about god and the lord and the bible....you realize that by saying that gay people are imperfect, you are saying god made a mistake, right?

do you, like....memorize these bible quotes, or do you just have an bible in which you know where everything is?
either way...youre pretentious and pathetic

Yes we are all entitled to opinions, and said opinions include disliking others opinions, that is an opinion in itself. So there isnt anything wrong with disagreeing with someone elses opinion.

Like I said before, I believe that there is nothing wrong with the fact that some people are just born homosexual. What they choose to do with that is another story. If they live a pure life and believe in God, they can go to heaven just like anyone else. It all depends on how they choose to live.

And I agree with what Kivaa said. God makes everyone individually, so that means he decides who is gay and who isnt. By saying it is a sin to be gay, then you are most certainly saying that God made a mistake when he created someone. He is perfect, and cannot make a mistake, he MEANT for them to be gay - if only everyone could see if that way. Its just the same as when some mother tells her child to be happy with being black, white, tall, short etc. because God made you that way - you are special. Mothers should tell their children that it is okay to be Gay, God made you that way.

Kivaa that was a REALLY good point, and I had never thought of it that way. You really seem to know what you are talking about.
