Upload it to an image host such as http://tinypic.com or http://trollin.info

Then put the direct link in image tags like so

(no need for astrixes)

Below the box you type your text in, click 'Go Advanced'.
From there, if you scroll down, you'll find "Manage Attachments". Click that and then go from there. It's all self explanatory once you know how.

that's really easy. you need to save your image to your computer then upload it somewhere. then you copy the url or link or whatever and put [IMG] tags around it. with some images though I think you don't need to upload it....if you use google chrome you can right click and open image in new tab and copy the address.

also you can add the image(s) as an attachment

Wow, the above answers are a bit confusing.

The most common way of including an image in posts on vt is to upload your photo to a hosting site like tinypic or photobucket. You can also upload it to a profile album here on vt and then link to it in the same way. Any of those options will give you a unique URL for your photo.

Now this is slightly more technical, for inclusion in a post here the photo's URL needs to be enclosed in .... tags like this:

Now if the site provides the [img] tags for you just cut and paste the whole lot straight into your post. If the site just gives your photo a URL without the [img] tags you either need to add the tags by hand or use the little postcard icon tool which adds them for you.

Now an alternative, generally less good in my opinion, option is to include your photo as an attachment, that way you can upload it directly from your pc without having to post it on a photo hosting site. To do that you need to click on "Go Advanced", scroll down further that usual, then under "Additional Options" click on "Manage Attachments".

1. The box on the end of the page, where you write your post, press "Go advanced" that's right below it.

2. Press the small paperclip 2455

3. Upload the photos you wan't to show us. And wait until they're fully uploaded.

4. Go back to the box where you write, press the paperclip again, and press the name of it (Insert all if more than one)
