Sniping in Black Ops (360)

Anyways, anyone notice that they barely even snipe on Black Ops? Hardly anyone snipes anymore because of the crosshair sway. I don't understand why. It honestly seems easier in Black Ops then it's ever been...

Quickscoping was a glitch on the console versions of the COD series.

Treyarch removed the glitch meaning you actually have to aim now, meaning no one can do it as they are that used to aim

I snipe, pretty dam often on that game

I've got like 32 hours on the game and it seems like me and extremely few others are the only one's that even bother trying to put the effort into it.

i get what you mean
they are huge maps but there arent many open areas to get decent lines of fire
villa has some pretty good spots though

I guess that's just where reaction timing comes in. But I know what you mean, the maps are very close-quarters now. Not much open space to bob and weave.

I do sniping in certain maps, and btw I do not count quickscopig as sniping.

Yeah I used to see OpTic Nation guys around but I have never seen an OpTc guy.

Yeah there are very few sniping maps, in MW2 we had Derailed, Wasteland and other stuff. The only map you can properly snipe is Jungle, which is also a bad map for sniping :P

I don't snipe because they removed quick scoping. Every now and then I go back to MW2 to get some intervention quick scoping in, still pretty damn good at it.

It wasn't removed, it's just harder. I put the effort into it and can quickscope better then ever.

The glitch that allowed quickscoping was fixed

it is gone completely.

The shots you are making now are actually skilled shots, none of that auto aim shit in MW2 and cod4

Sleight of hand pro, since it brought the sight in with auto aim really fast.

I snipe as long as it is not a small map. I don't quickscope on Black Ops, so I just snipe normally

Haha, i snipe all the time. Infact, im much better in blackops then in mw2. The L96 is my 3rd most used weapon. :)

L96A1 is my most used weapon :P I'm far better then I was in MW2 and CoD4.

Im not going to brag but I consider myself a pretty decent sniper but I cant seem to get the hang of sniping in Black Ops, I cant find enough time to aim somebody up after the sway before someone sprays me across the map with the 74u.

I do agree with the AK-74u issue. That gun is waayyyyyyy overused. They need to nerf the shit out of it so people will, essentially, broaden their horizons.

I would love to see that gun nerfed. There would be a major variety in the guns people used afterwards.
