View Full Version : My Intelligence...

For a reason, I don't feel as intelligent as I was before. I can't find solutions to even simple problems, I say stupid things and do stupid things.
After many days I recognise I have done something bad ( when I think of that day )
I can't understand stuff in lessons. Or when my friends tell me to do something, I sometimes can't understand what they say and they insult me. I don't have problems with my ears but I frequently hear things wrong.
My English was better few months ago

I am like this for a few weeks now... :(

Can this may be because of playing video games for too long? Last year I could barely play my PS3 or my PC but now I play it every day for a lot of time.

Stop playing video games. Yes. Now go read some good dystopian novels, solve mathematical problems, and play chess. Later on, you will feel that you belong along with the elites.

Are you sleeping enough? Lack of sleep can cause your concentration to suffer, which may mean you feel you are less intelligent.

Lol, I feel the same. At 11-12 I was like, ready to do frickin A level stuff. But now I'm 14 and I feel like 10. It probably is the video games.

Edit: And the above post.

7 hours is not a huge amount. Do you feel tired a lot of the time?

7 hour is perfect. But I suggest if you sleep earlier, a lot better.

Also, are you doing bodily exercises? You know what as they say, "A sound mind in a sound body".

I agree with the above posts on sleep and daily exercise...but are you keeping in a healthy level of water in youre system throughout the day? because it has been known to boost concentration...another thing on the video game affecting youre brain bit...I read an article on this and it was on the affects of video games to the brain..and it states that people who play 2-7 hours a day while playing have low beta waves in their brain...( they were monitoring beta which is liveliness and tension...and alpha which usually appear when the brain is at rest) The results showed the more people played the video game the higher decrease in beta activity there was...the people playing 2-7 hours plus constantly had the beta waves in their brain nearly at zero....they would later talk about how they are enraged easily , lack of concentration and also how their social skills with people were really starting to diminish....this of course means that even after they were done playing the game it left a lasting affect on their beta wave activity...."Youths who are heavy gamers can end up with 'video-game brain,' in which key parts of the frontal region of their brain become chronically underused, altering moods"........so maybe if you take a break a bit from chronically playing video games..things might change and you're beta activity could recover....... if you want to read the rest of the article I can pm you it...(not sure if im allowed to link it?) ....hope that helped a bit
