Hey guys. I was feeling really depressed, so my mom took me to the doctor because it was really getting on me. The doc put me on Luvox, I take a pill everyday.

I was just wondering if anyone else here has used it. Usually I would take it around 11 am or noon, and I would be pretty awake until around 5-9ish, then I would usually take a nap, and wake up around 10pm-2amish and be very hyper for awhile. Recently I've been taking it a lot later at night.

Some side effects I've had are

Dry mouth (rarely)
Huge loss of appetite
Loss of focus
Takes awhile for urination to actually occur. I sometimes have to stand by the toilet for awhile.
Takes awhile to achieve orgasm.


I can tell it is working however, this Winter break has been the most action packed awesome time of my life since before my depression, and I've never been more happy other than the side effects.

Kyle, isn't it OK to share experiences and provide information? I don't think it always has to be advice, sometimes we can learn from threads like this to help with advice in future. I haven't used it before man, but if the side effects are bothering you, you could ask your doc if there are alternatives.

Well I made it wondering if anyone else was taking it/have used it/used anything like it. I was just explaining how it was and such. I wouln't make any threads in the future like this though since it seems to be a problem. You can close it if you want, lol.

I was put on sertraline which is the same class of drug(SSRI) and after the first week or so all the bad side effects went away and it didn't even feel like I was taking anything. I stopped taking though because for me it did not do anything but if it works for you than the side effects are probably worth it.
