I think the distance matters a bit. If there's a whole continent, or an ocean between you, it might be harder than if you're in driving distance.

Not saying either is impossible, but not being physically close can be hard sometimes

I've been with my boyfriend, who lives in a different country overseas, for three years in February. Sometimes it gets tough and we both feel like giving up, but we never do. We're pretty much always happy together and have plans for the future, so in that respect I think it works.

It's not for everyone though and some people don't believe you can have a "real" relationship without touching a person, yet the best parts of a relationship aren't the parts you can see or touch, so?

I've been in a few long distance relationships and i'll be honest none have worked out. But that doesn't mean it can't for other people. You just have to remain loyal to the person and make time for them once or so a day.

Well, when people ask me if i'v ever had a girlfriend I just say no, but I have dated someone before but it was long distance, we met on another site somewhere.

We IMed and even texted, but it didn't even last a month. In some, SOME, cases, it MIGHT work, like Facts, but I wouldn't count on it.

Theres maybe a 93% chance it will fail.

I dated someone when i lived in London at a boarding school and they lived in Manchester
so i saw them at Christmas or when ever it was half term or whatever ...
But i think dating people over the internet isnt very good aswell as pritty dangerous if it gets quite heated you could meet up with them ... and well ... you have probly heard this stuff before ...
But i think long distance realtionships are diffrent ... i think it depends on how mature the people involved are ... and how much you trust them <3
