View Full Version : Getting rid of my tools today...

I've had the plan for awhile. I was half-asleep, thinking about how my dad had asked me to give them to him so he could dispose of them. Then I realize, anyone could just throw them in a garbage can. That did not give me any personal satisfaction. It would not be my achievement.

There is a bridge by my house with a river flowing beneath it. I know this is littering but it's for a good purpose... On the way to meet a friend at the bus stop, I'm going to savour the moment and watch them float away. My dad will have to take my word for it because it needs to be something I do alone. I won't do it because my dad wants to come for proof. I want it to be my decision.

Anyone could throw them out. Only I would think of tossing them off the side of a bridge.

I'm doubting I can do it but I'll post back here with an update this afternoon. :)

Well done :) Thats a really big step and I hope you can manage it, i've recently started getting rid of my blades (I had about 20 hidden around my room, and I have 3 left :) )
I usually flush them down the toilet.

Well, toilet or river, I have a feeling they end up in the same place. :) Good for you too! Hope you can get rid of those last three!

I'm sure they do! I just didn't wanna throw them in the bin cause there a lot of cats round here that go through the rubbish, and I would feel so awful if one of them got injured by my blades! Thanks for the support, and good luck to you!

Well done :) Getting rid of your blades is the best way to stop. I usually throw mine out my window to rust in the bush in front of my house. usually because it's an impulse thing and if i leave it too long i'll change my mind :/
Good luck with it all! :)

Gone. All gone under about an inch of ice by now. I haven't quite given it the chance to sink in yet but I'll be proud of myself when I have.
