As far as I know, it is. A lot of people have police scanners in their households...that is just a global one.

(It actually is kind of fun, haha.)

yes, well depending how you use it.

If you use it during an illegal act, i.e. running from the police, you can face charges.

News companies and people who video tape major stuff and sell action footage to the news use them :)
