Stop being a gentleman and split the costs. Or see a different movie. As a fan of fine cinema, 3D is mostly a cheesy, useless gimmick in my view.

There's nothing wrong with splitting the costs on a date. If you feel that's so emasculating, then simply be upfront with her and say you don't have the money.

If you feel like you need to pay your way through every date to have the girl like you, then maybe you should look into seeking a job instead of seeking a girlfriend. You're going to go on a number of dates, I presume, and you'll need money to pay for them all yourself (because you feel as though it's up to you to pay for everything when it isn't necessarily), and you can't keep going to your parents every time you want to go out.
I don't see how my answers aren't serious. The reality here is that you can swallow your pride and tell her you don't have the money or you can cancel your date. If you're really desperate, you could look into doing work around the neighborhood like mowing lawns or shoveling snow for money, but depending on the time you have that's probably not an option.

Thats about how it is here to.. He extremely over exaggerated, unless he plans on buying quite a bit of extra junk.

You should be honest about what you can afford, otherwise you will have the same problem every time. If she's only interested in your money or what you can buy her something is wrong.

If you really think she will mind that much about you not having that much money, then maybe shes not the girl for you.
That, or you are being foolish. She probably doesn't care if you don't have all the money in the world, just take her somewhere less expensive. Or maybe see the movie in 2D, because 3D is a waste of money, piece of junk.

i agree with what has been said, there is being a gentelman and there is being stupid, you are being stupid. Either tell her you cant afford to. Split the costs or say cant have dinner at uno.

What the...how are two movie tickets going to cost you forty dollars? Where I live, that would cost about $20.
Anyway...just be honest with her. Tell her you'd like to split the costs of the movie and dinner and if she's not willing to do that then she's not the kind of girl you want to be taking out on dates.

In PA at least, its $9 for a movie, $6 for 3D glasses, and like $10 for a popcorn and a soda, so for two people that's like $25 bucks... you're lucky if you get it for $40!

Tell her that you have plans early in the morning the next day and that you're tired. I'm not trying to say lie to her, but if you're that desperate and you don't want to take these peoples ^^^ advice then I don't know what to tell you. She won't care man.

Either do one or the other, I would say. Go out to eat, and skip the movie. Or just see the movie. Asking her to pay her way for maybe one of the things if you feel like you want to do both isn't that bad. I would rather pay my own way on a date, that's me. You're a teenager, I doubt she expects you to be made of money.
Although, if you do go to the movies, and then go out to dinner, skip the popcorn and drinks. For one, popcorn is greasy and gross at the movies. Greasy, buttery hands are not the best for hand holding! Not only that, it is extremely expensive there as well. Plus, if you are going out to eat after, why would you eat right before?!
