What is your opinion on the communist man who claimed he was the reincarnation of Jesus Christ and convinced over 900 people to commit suicide, and then assassinated an American politician and his committee who tried to prevent the mass suicide? I think he was a bastard who deserved to die, and it's a shame so many people followed him and killed themselves just because he told them to.

OP, if you're going to post a thread every single day, can't you just make a diary? The last one only has four replies right now. You need to give a discussion thread time to, you know, be discussed.

Edit: And I realize this is off topic and probably should've been PM'd or VM'd. That's all I'm going to say.

Anyone stupid enough to commit suicide because he told them to is just voluntarily removing themselves from the gene pool and doing the rest of us a service.

He didn't make anyone do anything. They killed themselves, yeah he should be jailed, but their deaths are due to their own stupidity to follow a stupid idea to their grave.

Insane religious fanatic that convinced 900 other insane religious fanatics to kill themselves. He was a terrible person. They were all stupid. What's more to say?

Oh, he looks like a failed Elvis impersonator.

Jones was insane. Not because of religion, but he did have some sort of mental problem. What that exact problem was, no one knows for sure. He took religion too seriously, furthering problems with his mental health. He did drugs, cocaine mostly, so that might have also fueled his rampage. He had the power of speech, just like other leaders before him. It's no wonder people followed his every word, he had total domination by the way he spoke. I have to applaud him for that much. A terrible man, but a great speaker.

It's all in the silver tongue. He promised a paradise to his subordinates, and they believed in him. It's his charisma that drove that insane holocaust. (this reminds me of the Nazis :P)
