Yes, I could have done how I always do - give a long, detailed explanation of complex characteristics of certain sexual orientations, but given that I would have drawn the same conclusion either way, it was simply best to be straightforward about it. I do understand his desire to know what he is, but no matter what diagnosis I or anyone else gives him, he will ultimately figure it out on his own. :)

like most have already said, there's no need to put a label on yourself if you don't know.

I'm the same way as you though. I'm really masculine and love sports, videogames, guns, eating a lot, manly stuff, etc... I've had several serious girlfriends too, but they never worked out. So I consider myself bi cause I'm attracted to guys too and have done stuff with them and been turned on.

So maybe that gives you some perspective. There's nothing wrong with being straight, gay or bi. Whatever label you give yourself (if you feel a need to do so) should be right for you. Don't worry about it though, it's normal. I was feeling the same way when I was younger. You'll figure it out!

you're really only gay or bi if you would like to have a long-term relationship with a member of the same sex; that's really what defines it. But don't get hung up on what you are, just enjoy being you while you can!
