See I have a boyfriend that's sweet and he really cares for me. The problem is that I have a hard time trusting men because I was raped before. I care about him and i want to be able to talk to him freely but every time i try i get so afraid that he'll get disgusted at me. I know he wouldn't be but I still can't stop being this afraid. I don't know what to do. He's so patient and every time I tell him that I can't talk about it right now he says that he can wait until i'm ready to tell him. I'm so frustrated that I can't seem to trust him. I don't know why I can't get over this already. If someone could give me some advice I would be grateful. :(

Just keep trying to forget about your past. Just try and be happy with your boyfriend and gain
Trust in him. Just tell him something bad happened in your past and it affects your trust. If he is a good boyfriend he should understand.

If he's as sincere and genuine as you make him sound, then you have nothing to be afraid of.
Just take time to talk to him about it when you're alone, let out your worries and anxiety surrounding it and I'm sure he'd be there to comfort you. He's not going to be disgusted with you for being raped - it wasn't your fault.
Once you take the first step in telling him, as long as he accepts it (which he should), you'll feel a lot better in yourself.

If he really is how you paint him to be then he will understand and accept you no matter what. If you really wanna tell him go ahead, he'll be thankful yo utrust him enough to tell him such thing.

Good for you! Any guy that is a really good guy will accept you. If you're completely honest with him then he will be honest back with you. Trust is the backbone of any stable relationship.

I agree completely. Trust and honesty are the MOST important part of any relationship. Keep it completely honest, and you two will be very happy for a very long time. :)

first off let me say that I'm sorry that happened to you, I hope you have talked to a counselor of therapist of some kind about your experience. Secondly, give him a chance, not all guys are jerks and if he is as good as you say, he would hopefully understand.

well this is coming from the guys perspective but just get to know him as well as you would know a sibling and then you will know.
