View Full Version : Love at first sight?

I had the strangest experience yesterday. I walked into Starbucks and my attention was immediately drawn to a guy standing in line. He must have been in his early twenties and for some reason he struck me as being absolutely gorgeous and almost perfect looking. I pointed him out to my mom and she thought I was crazy but I could NOT stop staring, and he kept looking at me too. Sadly, I was too shy to say anything and he left but it was such a weird experience...

So does anyone believe in "love at first sight"? Or has anyone had an experience like this where they are naturally and instantly drawn to someone?

I've been instantly drawn to porn stars. It doesn't mean anything.

Third time's the charm for me.

I'm not even kidding.

I had that feeling I was in love at first sight. But then again I was only thirteen and we later turned out to speedball together. It was a horrible experience.

I don't trust my instincts much. No, I don't believe in love at first sight. Yeah, I might see some nice ass girl I could see myself loving for the rest of my life, but she might be an absolute bitch or betray me somehow. Hell, I might betray her for all I know. Then you have the complications of having to live with this one girl or guy for the rest of your life, which sounds really fucking annoying.

Yeah, I made the mistake of being attracted to a girl (we'll call her "Haley", because that's actually her name) and realizing she's a massive (massive [massive]) bitch who doesn't understand the basic rules of compassion or talking to someone about certain rumors that fly around.

Yes, there were reasons to hate me, because I was a massive faggot, but that's no excuse. But that's another story for next year's Christmas (remember to remind me, VT).

I don't believe in love at first sight, but I do believe in love at first talk and regret at... everything.

Nah. I think of a experience like that as a major physical attraction. Its not love.

I'm sort of an idealist when it comes to love so I do believe in love at first sight. However it's not my job to be the judge of whether it was love or just attraction. That's for you to decide. Also, do tell us if you see him again!

I don't really believe in love at 1st sight, but I do believe that in most cases you know whether or not someone is worth pursuing very quickly after you meet them. I can't really remember any time when I didn't know whether or not I wanted to at least try and go out with someone soon after I met them.

I don't believe in love at 1st sight. I believe you have to make love happen.

I personally don't believe in love at first sight, I have my reasons...but I do believe in attraction at first sight.

Theres no such thing as love at first sight.

What you felt may have been strong, but it was not love.

I wasn't referring to love as in actual love at first sight. I was talking about the cliche. Sorry for the confusion. Obviously you can't love someone just by seeing them, but I think that you can have chemistry with someone by looking at them :)

Yes then, that is different. I see what you mean, and yeah.

I can see you being say, connected with someone from the moment you meet. Maybe, you see something special in them, and your curious to know more.

i think you can know if you're remotely compatable with someone, but 'love at first sight', no.
