i know a lot of guys who arent used to this can ask questions on why other guys do this. At my school, me and a lot of my friends who are football players usually joke around and most of the time, we just say gay stuff, even though we are straight. We mostly do it because a lot of us get to know each other when we are either doing our sports, or just hanging out during the weekend to the point where we feel comfortable acting funny to each other. It just gives us something to laugh about in school, instead of making fun of another kid or bullying someone. It might be hard to understand, but when you play a sport that involves you to sometimes hurt other people or etc, you feel bad after a while and you just want to show to people that you arent really trying to hurt everyone and that you got a funny and calm side.

Couple months ago at a party a straight guy slapped my ass and said "hey sexy", was a little confusing, but I personally like it when people can mess around like that. They're just having fun and hey, it's kinda nice to hear even if they are just kidding :P

They do that because they may think your gay; I don't mean to offend you or anything!
and they act gay towards each other and not bully one another cause they no for a fact that they aren't gay. make sense?

wow, your are in almost the same exact situation as i am.. people tease me about me "sounding gay", but i dont walk gay or dress gay... but then all the jocks are like hey babe and like act all perverted to other guys as a joke. one even put girl accessories on when we had an 80's day at school and he had 100 girls around him. if i acted that way, people would call me a flame. it annoys me soooo much

These guys are so right. They are confident in whatever sexuality they are, and don't give a damn if other people think otherwise, so they can act however they want. And you don't have to be in sports to do this either. If you and your friends are comfortable with yourselves, then you aren't gonna be analyzing every move you make on whether it is "gay" or not; you're just gonna be having fun and showing some "brotherly love."

its the exact same at my school the "jock" of the guys that thinkthey a bloody amazing act gay and they think its cool but tbh the only reason they find it funny to do this and treat people like shit cause they are ass holes :)

i think that teenageapplelover is right for the most part.
I know some guys who do this too, and i will do it back with a few of them, It just being funny and carefree. I kind of know who i am, and right now in happy being able to play with and be one of the guys, and it 's 100 % not GAY...
If they do it to you, and say i love or slap you on the butt and you dont like it ask them to stop, or just ask your self "why am i offended by this" and sometime you have to be part of something to fit in....and i think its pretty harmless....

ok so in my school my friends and i r not the coolest, but we r not lame either, we dnt bully others, and we dont get bullied, we stand up for one another and we say love u and give each other hugs and we r not gay we do this because we have gotten to know one and other so well we just dont keep any thing from each other. the kids that think they r cool and bully others i think (a least in my school) are gay because they take it to far with people they dont know. they give huggs and blow kisses and some of them even change their voice just to seem gay. Around my school i think being "gay" is the new in thing for kids that think they r "popular" or if you dont classify them that way the kids who throw their life away just to be cool.

You had me but lost me at what I highlighted in bold, r u saying u make fun of ppl or when u hurt someone as in tackling a person during football?

i meant as in tackling someone. We usually tackle people hard enough to where they get either kinda hurt or worse, but during the game, your just in the zone and dont really care. But after the game, we usually feel really bad that we went that hard and started to get to carried away. I hurt 2 guys during football in the past 3 years, and both times that they went to the hospital, i left during the middle of the game and went with them to the hospital just to make sure they were ok and to tell them that i was sorry for doing what i did. And also what other people said about being comfortable with our sexuality. We can act different whenever we like, but we dont care what people will say because almost everyone at school knows were straight.

me and my friends act like that all the time and everyone is right in saying that we mostly do it because we don't care what others say and we are just secure in ourselves.
