this is the thing - i'm 15, and there is a guy in my school who's 17. we met each other on the internet and discussed about the option of having mutual oral sex... i barely know him, but he is no threat to me. I want to do it, but i'm not sure that i want the 1st time will be with a boy (i'm bi), and with someone i barely know.
What do you think?

I would strongly discourage you do this. You barely know this guy, don't you want your first time to be with someone you love? Not to mention this guy could be a predator (slim chance, but still).

The fact that you are even asking suggests that you dont feel comfortable with the idea yourself. You need to decide whether you want to save your first sexual activity for someone that you love or are in a relationship with, of either sex, or whether you are happy to do something just for the experience. I cant make that judgement for you and neither would I judge you badly whatever you decided. Personally I went for the just for the experience option, quite a few times to be honest, but I now regret it and wish I'd waited for someone I love. Do whatever feels right to you.

Oral sex is not safe sex.

Just because he's 17 doesn't mean he doesn't have some kind of STD. Let's say he says he doesn't, or hasn't "done anything with anybody before". He could be lying - I know someone who had a boyfriend who is a "virgin", and she got HPV from him. He could not know - a lot of people with STDs do not recognize symptoms.

It's true that you have to decide if you want a casual sex experience to be your first sexual encounter, or a different way. Personally I attribute you wanting to "get with someone" to your age - this is just a really horny time of your life. I'm 17 and even now, whenever I hear of a gay guy in real life who I know, I want to try something with him, so much that distracts me from how unattractive the person tends to be. Luckily I haven't wasted my innocence yet.

I do not think you should go through with it. I think right now it's all about lust, and not only is it an empty, emotionless route - it's a dangerous route.

I've actually done this, wasn't that big a deal, but I'd say, if your not sure, don't do it. Maybe get to know him a bit more. Like actually meet him first face to face.

There are plenty of people out there that you can have oral sex with. Why push it now and do it with a guy that you barley know? It's not like this will be your only chance. My advice is to wait until you find someone who you know better and would be more comfortable with.
