I don't want wearing sweaters and jackets and long sleeve shirts take over my life. I haven't cut my arm in, I believe, around 6 weeks so far. The scars are still there. Even though it's winter, I live in Florida, so it's warm often and these scars are probably going to be there for a while.

What do I say when people ask?

Like, they're not that noticeable. But you CAN see them, especially when you're close. My aunt asked me about it earlier.. "what's all over your arm?"

I just coughed and changed the subject awkwardly.

I'm afraid it's going to happen again, what do I say?

If you are that bothered, wear long sleeves until they fade more. You could try putting a bit of make-up on them too.
If someone does notice you could say it was a pet, or you fell over or something, depending on the shape of the scars.
You could also say it's the way you leant on something.
Good luck.

i know what you mean. it's like i wish there was something that i could put over them to just... make them dissapear, even for a while? use some sorta cream to make them fade better and quicker. i use cocoa butter and though it probably does nothing long-term, it makes the scars less-noticable fo a while. as for sayng things, just say that a pet scratched you. when my nan asked i said i had an allergy. stupid i know, but when your in situations like that you sorta take the first thing that comes into your mind. i hope i helped xxx

Make up works quite well with scars that aren't too noticable, so maybe you could put on a bit of foundation.
Or, you could draw on your arm? I know it sounds weird, but if you draw some silly little pictures over your scars, they won't look at all as noticable. If someone asks why you have pictures on your arm, say something like, "I got bored in maths."
Bio oil helps the scars fade a lot quicker as well. It's quite expensive, but it's worth it, and it lasts for a long time.

I hope everything goes well :)

Well, you could try putting some make-up on them (not a lot though, that will just make
them more noticable) And wear bracelets. And if you can still see some of them pretty well,
you could say that it was some kind of accident (you fell, your cat, whatever).
And when you eventually feel ready for it, you could tell the truth. ;)

I had unprotected sex with a porcupine.
I took my lizards for a walk and they held on for dear life.
The neighborhood cat and I had a disagreement about the paw prints on my truck.
I did it.
Dont worry about it.
It depends on whos asking & what ur comfortable with.

I used to always wear the fuzzy stretchy bracelets from Hot Topic because they covered my whole wrist.

I always say I Knocked over a glass collection or tripped over onto some broken glass or whatever. But the porcipine one's good, they never ask follow up questions XD

Person - "Where did you get all those scars from?"

You - "oh long story....my mate *lisa* had a party ages back everyone there got so drunk was unbelieveable. Oh it was soo funny! I found a hedgehog in the garden when we were having a bonfire & well lets say it doesnt like affection. Im never hugging a hedgehog again!!"

Make sure its really dramatic & at end shake your head & say "im never getting that drunk again might get my head eaten by a goat next"
That is my all time favourite :P
