What does it mean when it says this message is moderated

It means a staff member has to approve your visitor messages until you reach a certain length of time as a member and have a certain amount of posts.

what Kaius said...your VM has to be approved and when you get to a certain amount of posts they don't need to be moderated anymore

Can't VM's also be set back to moderation due to someone habitually breaking rules? Or is that just IP.B? I forget whether Ant had said something about this or not.

That can happen i think, if a person is on a restricted account, but i cannot be totally sure.

Yep, if someone is restricted everything they post (posts, VMs, etc.) gets moderated.

No, i've seen users with VMs moderated but posts not moderated.


You can also get that message if you get 55 infraction points and try to post. You can, you'll just be moderated before it'll go up.

Yeah, that's because everyone's VMs are moderated until 500 posts and either 3 or 6 months (Ant can we get an answer on which it is?)

No, he had over 1k posts. It was a restriction due to infraction points

And it's 3 months, 250 posts - you have to make both

This is the time limit for Visitor Messages to be moderated. When on restricted account, everything that gets posted by the user, is moderated, threads made, posts, VM, the whole lot. 55 infraction points to be put under this account.
