Me and my (ex)gf were dating for a loooonnnggggggg time and i thought i should tell her i loved her cuz i did so i was aboit to tell her with roses behind my back and i was like "anita i gotta tell u something" and she was like "i know same i think we should just be friends" and so i wanna know has this happened to others? And how i said "i gotta tell u somethin" make her think i was going to breakup with her? And should i have asked why?

I'm sure it's happened to many people, but it's very unfortunate for it to have happened the moment before you were going to tell her that you loved her. That being said, I highly doubt that you having said that you have something to tell her had anything to do with it. She was probably beginning to feel doubts about your relationship, and most likely used your topic starter to break it off. If you still feel weary, which is extremely common having such a long relationship be broken off so suddenly, ask her why. Try not to bother her about it, just tell her you were wondering why. If it's because she has fallen for someone else, it's unfortunate, but it would probably be better to just try your best and move on, find someone else perhaps or just stay single for a while. However, if it is something you can fix, such as a bad habit or something of the sort, ask her for a second chance and attempt to stop doing what it is that is making you unappealing to her if you truly think she is worth changing yourself for.

same thing happened with my best friend and his gf back in middle school. he was gonna try and kiss her and that same day she broke up with him. man that sucks haha. dont get too down bro, youll be fine trust me.
