Where I live gays are instantly accepted but lesbians are basically viewed as freaks. It's awful. I overheard people in my class saying how they accepted gays and one was saying how she met a gay guy at a party and then they started saying 'oh god lesbians are different though' in a really 'omg now thats just WEIRD' kind of tone. They know its not a choice but still. :/

To generalize, lesbians tend to be more accepted because heterosexual males are the dominant group. Whatever pleases the group in power makes it easier for the minority(ies) that fall into the dominant group's approval.

Straight men aren't attracted to other men (duh?), so of course gay men are going to be a little more unaccepted than lesbians.

I hate this double standard how can guys straight guys be "oh yeah lesbians" this obviously means there okey with homosexuality but when it comes to to gay guys Its a whole different ball game it sucks! Its life hopefullly in the near future this will change but its sucks how people can be so closed minded. I Pity them.

i think its mainly affected by porn to be honest
im bi and if i tell a straight guy
quite litrally their tongue is on the floor and their drooling >.<

therefore if they meet a lebian girl they will accept them
not for who they are ... but who they are dating
but i think with guys
unless you are gay not many people enjoy it
