Me and my 2 friends were walking down the street when we saw a hedgehog lonely standing on the road. We approached it and it started to move...
It was so cute and we left it there. It didn't move but it was live.

Abuot 5 seconds later, we heard a car coming, and moved aside and continued walking. About a second later, we heard a bump sound. We quickly looked back.

The hedgehog was dead.
The car didn't even stop to look at it, the car behind it stopped, the driver look down and drove away. We checked it if it was alive or not. It was in an agony, twisting in it's final moments...

For no reason I felt sorry. It was just a hedgehog who was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

How can a simple life be wasted in mere seconds... We have hedgehogs all around our neighborhood ( especiallly at our garden ). Probably it was one of the hedgehogs who came to our balcony every morning, and searched for food..

Like you said it was in the wrong place at the wrong time you couldn't have stopped it. I see what you mean it shows life is precious and can be taken away so quickly. And you probably felt sorry cause nobody would've noticed it, but if it were a human being hit it'd be big news.

This really bothers me for some reason. It just seems so horrible that someone can -kill- and not even care. Do they have no sympathy?

Enough of me rambling. I'm sorry that the driver was so inconsiderate and I'm sorry about the hedgehog. Like you said, it's precious life being wasted.

And yet life goes on... No sense pondering over the little things Cengiz, to do so would drive a man mad.

No this one was Knuckles

I'm suprised the driver couldn't spot a bright red hedgehog to be honest.

I get this. A life was taken away so easily, we only really care when it's out own species. We all have hearts, brains, nervous systems, not just humans.
I'm guessing they didnt stop because it happens all the time, every road I drive on there's road-kill on. No one owned the hedgehog, and it would have died by the blow of the car, so why stop I guess.

Because what if it was still alive and needed a vet?

Knuckles is an echidna, lacking a snout. It's a common misconception.

If I had seen a headgehog die, I'd have collapsed on the ground crying and phoning an ambulance on 999.
Show's how pathetic I am. :/
